Daniel Murphy is a Jamaican Miami-Based Cinematographer, His creative journey began in South Florida, where photography first introduced him to visual storytelling. What started as curiosity, quickly grew into a passion for motion images and their emotional power.Daniel's passion led him to the camera department, where he steadily climbed as: 2nd AC, 1st AC, camera operator, and finally DP. Now 31, Daniel has over 12 years of on-set experience, with the last four rooted in the camera department and nearly three years as a cinematographer and operator. His work spans music videos, branded content, Major networks, short films, and commercial campaigns. His primary focus is on growing as a DP, where he can lead, shape, and enhance the visual narrative. His visual style is grounded in thoughtful composition and lighting with purpose. He Gravitates toward deep focus, Natural light exteriors, stylized contrast indoors, and deliberate camera moves. His influences range from roger deakins,darius khondjian, Christian Sprenger, Marcel Rev and Bradford Young. Daniel's passion lies in commercials and narrative work, where strong planning meets expressive execution. Music videos still hold value when they allow creative freedom, but his long-term goals are built around larger, more structured visual storytelling on collaberative scale.
